Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Bill Burgess (illustrator). 1st Edition. This is either a novel of sixteen chapters with each chapter written by one of fifteen different authors, (as editor, Karin Slaughter gets the privilege of contributing both the first and last chapters), or it's a collection of 16 connected short stories by some of the leading crime writers of the day. Depends how you look at it. The writers involved include, apart from Karin herself, Laura Lipman, Lee Child, John Harvey, John Connolly, Lynda La Plante, Jerrilyn Farmer and Emma Donoghue. If you collect any of the fifteen authors here, then you need to add this book to your collection. I collect Emma Donoghue (not a tradional crime writer so she seems a tad out of place here) so I've got my copy. There is a small remainder mark on bottom edge, otherwise a near fine copy in near fine dust jacket, very slightly worn at spine ends.
