More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking, creasing and staining to gutters but binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is darkened. Book has a slight forward lean. Visible wear marks to boards.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Edition. (no dust jacket) [shelfworn, bumped with slight fraying at several corners, spine slightly turned, a couple of tiny water-stains on front cover, some soiling to edges of text block] Somewhat hard-to-find novel by this writer, who seems to have divided her time between children's books and novels about the problems of modern women; this book, about the marital troubles of a publisher who marries a poet, falls into the latter category. One contemporary reviewer thought it "possesses a quality of reality that penetrates the mind and remains with the reader." It's possible your mileage may vary.
