Top edge of text-block a little speckled; untrimmed fore- & lower edges faintly toned, fore-edge also very sparsely spotted. Contents fine. VERY GOOD+ copy in FAIR price-clipped dust jacket with front & rear panels largely intact, but with losses to backstrip panel as mentioned and light toning of remaining section.

A limited edition of 210 copies printing on Kelmscott Hand-Made paper, of which this is number 97. Signed by the editor, Geoffrey Keynes in the first volume. Bindings are good and tight. Spines are faded off their original blue color to a uniform tan. Volume 6 is a shade or two more purple than the other 5 volumes, though they are all set number 97. Thomas Browne's initials on the covers in decorative gold. Also on the front covers is the gold crest of the Groton school "Sigillum Scholae Grotoniensis" with motto and crest, within a circle. Browne was a 17th century English writer. Keynes, the editor, was a well regarded scholar and author. Please email with questions or to request photos. A scarce set.
