In spite of what we often hear these days about modern day hurricanes being worse than in the past, there have always been very powerful, destructive hurricanes and that seems to be a recurring pattern. Today, meteorologists have become much better at predicting and tracking hurricanes than in the past, which has undoubtedly been responsible for saving thousands of lives.

Condition: Good. 1937. 220 pages. Green pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges.
