Silverman was later as a publisher to be instrumental in advancing the career of the post beat poets Yuko Otomo & Steve Dalachinsky. Sadly he never could understand what was not needed was another drone on&on beat, but a Chocolate Soda with Tuna Fish Sandwich lunch poet of the candy store school of N.J. Condition: Good. Three broadsides and a handbill, from an advertising packet produced by Craig Ellis and Rolla Rieder at Augtwofive in 1970. Broadsides include a type collage demanding the impeachment of the president, a "Free concrete Typo Advertising Political Manifesto Poem," and an Augtwofive Unintentional Text by New Jersey beat poet and candy store proprietor Herschel Silverman. Broadsides are 8-1/2 x 11 inches, have been folded twice for mailing. Handbill is 6-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches; a cartoon very roughly in the form of a dollar bill, heavily overwritten with cartoon images, quotations and slogans, reproduced on yellow paper. Augtwofive was a project of Craig Ellis and Rolla Rieder in Watertown, MA, "conceived November 69 to promote radical consciousness through evocation of field perception associative multi-channeled energy-exchange (Synergy)." Broadsides in Very Good condition; handbill is Fine.
