Internally, gift presentation neatly written on the front endpaper, toned pages, a little tanned to the text-block edges - a nice, tight copy. Carefully packaged and posted within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland.

I am somewhat confused by the pagination of this title, as the first page of chapter one is numbered as page 9. I can only imagine that there may be some endpapers that are missing and that they formed part of the publisher's counting system. The text of the story is complete, along with the frontispiece. The publisher details page is definitely not present. Externally, the cover has attractive pictorial artwork with bmp.& abrasion to cnrs. & top/bottom of spine. Includes supply & fitting of new correctly sized protective lyfjacket. Sold as a tidy, functional reading copy only. Size: 12mo - over 63/4" - 73/4" tall. Book.

A digest of 18 highly moralistic stories for Brownies, including The Sign of The Three Owls, and The Eve of The Golden Hand in which two brownies who just happen to be in full uniform come across a boy who has fallen over and whom they carry home between them. Small ex pencil inscription and price mark otherwise clean interior, illustrations all clean except one which has the page corner missing. Seams and hinges in tact, all pages tight in binding. Small blemish to front cover (where a label has been removed).

There is a personal inscription to the front free endpaper, dated 1925 and 1926. Both the front and rear free endpapers show mild discolouration. The spine is cracked in various places throughout, but remains intact and more solid than it sounds. Internally clean and bright.
