The author's history of Trenton, Michigan is well-researched and also well-written; according to her, it was many years in the making. There is a bibliography of sources used in the rear. The river, of course is the Detroit River. Bound in the publisher's original blue cloth covers with black spine and cover lettering and decoration. There are about 100 pages of photos in the rear, all captioned. There is no indication of the edition, but it is probably a first edition.
