Australasia was omitted because the manuscript of that section was lost in transit. Exceedingly expensive British rivers such as the Herefordshire Wye and the Spey were omitted as being unattainable and therefore irrelevent to the practical angler. Bound handsomely in brown cloth over over boards, ornately stamped lettering and illustrations in gilt and gray to front cover and spine.
