Quarto, vibrant patterned cloth with paper printed label to upper board, spine a little sunned, pp. 34, illustrated with seven colour linocuts, line drawings and a handcoloured frontispiece by Shaw; a fine copy. One of the deluxe edition of 50 numbered copies (this is copy no. 31) signed by Brown, Shaw and the printer Richard Edwards, within a total limitation of 600 (although not all copies survived due to water damage); very rare. A superb example of Australian private press, composed with a delightful aesthetic influenced by the art deco movement, and one of the most charming Australian books designed for children. Muir 1054.
