Illustrated with numerous monochrome photographs from the author's travels. The story of the people's of modern Russia told as through a travel narrative of some 20,000 miles, extending from the Ukraine and Crimea to Siberia, Central Asia and Georgia. Some of the palces the author visited include Leningrag, Moscow, Kharov, Kiev, Yalta, Tiflis, Barnaul, Siberia, Tashkent and Samarkand. A nice solid copy, internally clean and well bound. Dustjacket edge-worn and showing moderate soiling from age.
