Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Textured brown boards and spine, the latter, a bit faded, letterd in gilt. Internally reasonably clean, more recent endpapers; soiled title page with date written at top; seven pages of Contents less soiled but several lines marked by a pencil. Pp (iii-xi), (3), 13-372; PAGE 295/6 MISSING. Tight binding but pages well thumbed. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. With the further volume published the following year. 12mo. Pp, x, 359. 1 page publisher's list. xi, 372. Half calf, raised bands, gilt; marbled boards. Extremities rubbed but the bindings are sound and secure. A damp stain with prominent tide mark affects the engraved frontis. and title page of volume one. A similar stain, though less extensive, affects the top corner of the last twenty pages. Pages 11/12 and 69/70 are torn without loss. A little scattered internal soiling. The second volume is unaffected. Nevertheless a nice copy.

First edition. x, 359pp. Engraved frontis. with vignette to title. Pages 53 -56 partially loose. Bound in full tan roan - contemporary to book. Spine rubbed and sunned, extremities rubbed and worn. Contents clean.
