The dust jacket is crisp and clean. "Jagdgeschwader 54 (JG 54) was a Luftwaffe fighter wing during the Second World War. JG 54 flew most of its missions on the Eastern Front where it claimed more than 9,600 aircraft shot down. It was the second-highest scoring wing in the Luftwaffe after JG 52 (+10,000 victories). Notable pilot aces (Experten) that flew with JG 54 included Walter Nowotny, Otto Kittel, Hans-Ekkehard Bob, Max-Hellmuth Ostermann, Hugo Broch and Hannes Trautloft. JG 54 participated in the Poland in 1939, and the Battle of Britain and invasion of the Balkans in 1940. The unit was transferred to the Eastern Front in the spring of 1941 in preparation for the invasion of the Soviet Union in Operation Barbarossa. It remained there for the rest of the Second World War. JG 54 first flew Bf 109Fs before changing to the more powerful Fw 190." (from Wikipedia).

"A large part of the appeal of AFVs in general is the enormous scope for presenting a highly individual interpretation of a military vehicle subject. The way the modeller chooses to pile the necessary guns, ammunition, ropes, chains, tools, radio aerials and so on onto a tank will remain a singular, highly personal contribution to the modelling hobby. In this series of books we attempt to show you how to get the best out of plastic models of AFVs and offer some tips on construction, customising and finishing. We have not specified any particular brand of paint, adhesive or materials simply because models and accessory ranges change their trade names, are constantly added to - or, occasionally, are withdrawn from the market altogether. And of course general availability in certain countries varies to a considerable degree so we are leaving it to the modeller, wherever he or she may be located to search out the tools of the trade according to local supply." from the Introduction. Interior - clean and tight with no previous ownership marks. Exterior - small dent/scuff and soft creases at bottom corner of front cover.
