Williamson as signed on front free endpaper) and signed on half-title by Ed. Rector, R. T. Smith (author),Text Hill, with reference to page number in book, and three other friends. Illustrated with b/w photographs from his Air Force adventures and one in-text illustration of the Chinese Identification Flag. In this book Scott tells of his adventures simply and honestlypiloting a Flying Fortress across the Atlantic through equatorial storms and "celestial navigation" that went wrong; fighting the Japanese virtually single-handed over Burma, when he was called a "one-man airforce"; battling in the skies of China as commander of fighter-pilots in General Chennault's China Air Task Force."
