Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. First Edition (SD). Signed and inscribed by the author on the blank front end paper: 'To Grace Fox, with the warm regards of A Schmuller.' The red covers are clean. The gilt lettering on both the front and spine is bright. There is a thin crease right below the front top corner. The cover edges are in very good shape, no rubbing. The cover corners are in solid shape, the two bottom ones have a speck of superficial rubbing. The page edges look good. The binding of the pages is solid throughout. The covers as well. The pages are very clean. There is one small tan spot on the signed page and one small spot on the blank rear end paper. The inside covers are clean. I'm not seeing any creasing in the book. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And the author's signed inscription represents the only writing to be found anywhere. You can see the pink dust jacket in the first few photos. The spine is toned to tan. There's also toning off the top edges of the front and rear, and on the rear cover just adjacent to the spine. There is a spot on the rear cover/spine. There is a fairly small tear off the top edge at the juncture between the front cover and spine. There are two similar tears off the bottom edge of the spine. There's a little loss at both spine ends. There are also the losses you can see on the spine. The flaps are in very solid shape, also pink. They are clean. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. I have it in a fitted protective cover. Inscribed by Author(s).

The first half contains a selection of poems written by members of the Idaho Poets' and Writers' Guild. Most of these poems are published here for the first time. Bound in the original maroon cloth. Gift inscription on the half title page, which also has a crease. Otherwise fine. The price-clipped dust jacket has a 1/2" chip on the front panel, and wear at the spine ends, the corners, and the folds. The back panel has a scuffed spot and an area of red staining. In Brodart dust jacket protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by Author(s).

Condition: Very good. - Octavo, blue cloth (bumped; dent to bottom edge of front cover) titled in gilt, in dw (chipped with piece out of head of dw spine; light soiling & small stains to front panel; dw spine & extremities faded). [x] & 124 pp. (page edges slightly darkened; endpapers darkened with light soiling to front endpaper). Very good in good dw. From the library of Leonard Bernstein [Sotheby Sale 7070, Lot #160], inscribed to him by Aaron Schmuller on the front endpaper: "For Leonard Bernstein with greetings and good wishes--A Schmuller Esq". Laid in is a folded publicity flier for Schmuller's Crossing the Borderland: Poems and Translations on which is typed "Comments on volume 4. Published by Villiers Publications Ltd. London, 1959." One of the reviews quoted on the flier describes Schmuller as "one of the foremost students of and translators of Yiddish literature.".

Octavo. 96pp. About fine in blue cloth boards and gilt lettering with hint of sunning at the topedge in very good rubbed dust jacket with foxing and abrasion and small tear at corner of the front panel from removal of a price sticker. A collection of poetry by Schumuller and a selection of his translation of works by Glick, "a celebrated poet-partisan of World War I" who was killed fighting the Nazi. Glick is best remembered for his poem "Partisan Song," which was set to music and became a ballad synonymous "with ghetto ruins and concentration camp life.".
