Last issue of the '60s and second issue since Max resumed as publisher and editor. As a sort of bridge with the Allan Coult era, the cover features a blow up of an old etching of three nude women cavorting with a rope. Inside: exclusive interview with Tim Leary, in part about Altamont, which he attended, the culture at large, and his campaign for governor; extensive report on a killing followed by the shooter's suicide in the Tenderloin, a splattering of short news items (Indians on Alcatraz, Altamont fallout) and an uptick of sex ads.
