    1/4 leather. Condition: Very Good+. Second Revised Edition. Chromolithographs; lithographs, charts, woodcuts; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 217 pages; 1870 Government Printing Office. 2nd revised edition. 4to in original forest green cloth with titles brightly in gilt to upper board; spine unlettered, as issued. This 2nd edition, slightly revised from the original 1869 edition, with the addition of several components to the Observations of Hall, as well as the printing of Plates VI - VIII on heavier paper. Soundly bound and clean with partial split to the cloth over the front joint and superficial localized bubbling to cloth over boards. Penciled note at front, presumably in his hand: "From Senator Tipton January 18, 1871" (Thomas Tipton, Republican Nebraska). Contents very fresh and neat with all plates present and in excellent condition. Includes 5 chromolithographs depicting the Eclipse, several lithographs of facilities and instruments etc as well as charts and woodcuts in text. VG .
