Tabloid. Condition: Good. Newspaper tabloid format. 40 pp, including covers. Black and white photos throughout. Approximately 15 by 11 ½ inches. Slash Magazine was a Los Angeles based fanzine, published from 1977-1980, and from which the record label Slash Records grew (Triggs, p. 66). Claude Bessy, a senior editor at Slash stated 'It started as a bluff, we were pretending there was an L.A. scene when there was no scene whatsoever. The magazine was it.' (Berniere and Primois p. 219). Issue eleven, featuring an interview with Malcolm McLaren, the (former) Sex Pistols manager and figure in the fashion world; commentary on the punk world in London (Sex Pistols, etc.) by Tony D., presumably of the fanzine Ripped and Torn; etc. GOOD condition. Moderate browning to the paper. Horizontal (slightly diagonal) fold crease present, with a few other minor creases present. Slight curl to the fanzine along the fold crease. Minor soiling. A few small tears present along the extremities.
