Paperback edition, looks like a proof copy (or advanced reading copy), with plain brown card covers and just the title, authors and publisher shown on front cover, but no mention that it is a proof copy . Some scuffing to spine ends, ink stamp on front cover, title page and on a few inner pages (Rotary Club of Wellington, NZ), but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this soft-cover book. No publication date shown, but rev of title page has some partially erased printing on which I can make out Jazz Book Club, so that would suggest 1957. About a third of the book consists of a biography of the Jazz trumpeter "King" Joe Oliver (1885-1938), the rest mostly with a discography of his many recordings. 200pp, 5 b&w illustrations.
