Six scarce issues of Emigre, in the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Emigre was an American quarterly magazine, published from 1984 to 2005. This magazine, known for creating some of the first digital layouts and typeface designs, was dedicated to visual communication, graphic design, typography, and design criticism. The designer and editor was Rudy VanderLans, with the assistance of Alice Polesky, and the typeface designs were created by Zuzana Licko. Emigre, Issue Nine: 4AD (1988). Cover design: Nigel Grierson. This issue focuses on Ivo Watts-Russell, 4AD Records and their in-house design team 23 Envelope.
