Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition and printing. In good red cloth boards, with gilt titles and decoration to front; gilt titles to back strip. The covers are fairly tight - after repair to spine made by "The Clevedon Community Co-operative Bookshop Bindery Team". The covers are grubby and spine cloth sunned. Quite clean end papers; dedication on front free end paper. Gilt top edge; the fore and tail edges are deckled and slightly tanned. Very good text block with 32 b/w plates with tissue guards. The book block is tightly bound, straight and with a few marks, but apart from end pages and prelims not tanned or foxed. No jacket. Rare edition.
