Title on the spine says, New British Theatre. Published around 1810. First signature is detached, but could easily be reinserted. Endpaper are a mottled orange/red I think they were originally light red or pink, but have aged unevenly. All these plays also say, on the title page, As performed at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden. This copy with ownership name on the first blank page of Emily Webster Ellsworth. She is the daughter of Noah Webster, of dictionary fame. She married William Ellsworth in 1813 - he went on to become a Congressman and later Governor of Connecticut. Ellsworth was a classmate of Noah Webster at Yale. Mrs Webster Ellsworth's signature, at the top of the front endpaper page, is in a very neat script, as you would expect. Signed by Author(s).
