Rubbing and wear around edges, gilt a little faded around front board edging and almost faded away at spine. Corners nudged/bumped and worn, head and heel of spine i…s creased and midly worn, boards have some marks and light scuffing. Binding has some play but still holding firm. Full gilt page edging is fair and bright. Some faint foxing to prelims otherwise pages are generally clean and unmarked with all chromolithographs present and in very good, bright condition.

With each area and its scenery stunningly depicted to each volume. With illustrations from Thomas Charles Leeson Rowbotham, an Irish watercolour, landscape and marine artist and lithographer, and Joseph Needham, a Victorian landscape painter and printmaker, amongst others. Bound in half crushed morocco with cloth covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing resulting in minor loss to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light spotting and minor age toning to the first and last few pages. A tide mark to the rear endpapers. Good.
