Ca. 109 Min. Laufzeit Produziert von Martin Scorese. Bloß - er hat sich diesen blöden, um nicht zu sagen unmöglichen, deutschen Untertitel einfallen lassen? Immerhin wählte Primo Levi, auf dessen autobiographischen Bericht diese Verfilmung zurückgeht und der wohl auch die Last als Überlebender nicht aushielt, 1987 schließlich den Freitod. Der Film ist ansonsten bewegend, gedreht an Originalschauplätzen schildert er den Weg Levis durch weißrussische und ukrainische Lager, das Aufkeimen der Hoffnung - die nicht daran änderte, dass Levi wie gesagt letztlich am Erlebten und Überlebten zerbrach. Beiliegend ein gefalztes Plakat, mit dem der Buchverlag (DTV) auf die Verfilmung aufmerksam macht. Gramm 200.
