Each play is proceeded by an instructive essay by a classical scholar. Each volume has secure hinges and is not cocked. There is some light underlining in pencil in the text of a few of the plays. Otherwise, pages are very clean. The charcoal-colored outer covers and spines are very clean with light rub wear to edges and seams. Only two cover corner tips are bumped, and both very lightly. There are a few minor marks or spots on the books' outer page edges. The set's slipcase is in great shape, mostly clean with light rubbing to edges. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.)
