The Teddy Bear Books is series consisting of eight (8) books that tell the adventures a young boy named John and his group of six anthropomorphic teddy bears. The Teddy Bear at the Circus appears to be the second book in the series, which is sometimes called The Teddy Bears on Parade. The book is told in a series of rhyming couplets, with a stanza on each page and a corresponding whimsical color illustration. The book was published by the permission of the Judge Company. Additionally, while J. R. Bray is listed as the illustrator, the cover design and decorations were done by C. A. Sieber. 12 pgs. Illustrated covers. Staple binding. Measures 6.7"5 by 5". . Below are two stanzas from the book: "Then off they go, happy has can be, The wonderful circus sights to see. You ought to see the animals laugh At the trick John played on the tall giraffe. .
