Oversized hardcover in dark green quarter leather without dust jacket, top edge gilt, bright and clear spine gilt lettering and decoration, 536 pages, plus black-and-white illustrations; bumps and light to moderate wear to cover corners and spine ends, fore and bottom edges lightly foxed with traces of penetration to outer margins of some pages, covers with a whitish hue due to exposure to moisture, previous owner's ink city/date and embossed stamp on first blank page, but very gently used, tight in binding although looseness developing, text pages otherwise very clean and unmarked.
