Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition, First Printing. [26] p. : ill. (some col.) ; 19 x 25 cm. Landscape royal 8vo. Original maroon cloth backed pictorial boards. Color pictorial endpapers with alternating black and white and color lithograph illustrations. Tape reinforced at both interior hinges and in between a couple pages with what looks to be archival paper tape. Prior owners dedication in v. small fine hand "To George from father 12 July 1944". World War II wasn't over yet, D-Day was a month before but Paris wasn't liberated until August. Very likely a birthday present for George and it's a good bet that he treasured it; somebody took good care of it. Text block unmarked. Colors on cover bright and fresh. Scarce Marion Rivers-Moore title. Lacking the supa-rare dust jacket but a remarkably good copy for a title that is usually found (when you can find it at all) in tatters. Worldcat shows only 5 institutional holdings with just one of those in the United States.
