I solennissimi festeggiamenti a cui presero parte il Duca e la Duchessa di Parma in sostituzione delle "Sacre Reali Cesaree Maestà  Imperiali" durarono 10 giorni coincidendo non a caso con il tempo di Carnevale. Le parate militari, i tornei, il Battesimo stesso, i balli di corte, le azioni teatrali furono descritti e illustrati in almeno 4 pubblicazioni a stampa, fra le quali quella qui offerta.
