Deacribes Forts Belknap, Bliss, Brown, Clark, Concho, Davis, Mason, Sam Houston, with a full-size plate of each. with a 16 page introduction, 189 pages. Free front endpage has inked gift inscription.; 8 3/4 x 11 1/4 ".

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Yena, Donald M (illustrator). First Edition. The story of the six periods in the history of Texas. An ex-library copy with a neat book pocket, date due slip, and a library stamp of the front paste down and RFEP. A 1" x 1" triangular piece missing at the top of the spine and a light triangular damp stain (does not penetrate to the book) that runs from the spine 2.5" x 3" on the rear panel and 1.5" x 2" on thr front panel. Light foxing to the page ends. Still the book presents well. An acceptable copy.
