From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Set and shot on location in Istanbul, Turkey. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus.

Laurel Srevens (Jane Russel), an actress, is kidnapped by a couple of inexperienced crooks, Mike Valla (Ralph Meeker) and "Dandy" (Keenan Wynn) on the night of the premier of her film "The Kidnapped Bride." Laurel worries that the kidnapping will appear to be a publicity stunt and damage her career, so she begins to aide them in the crime. 10 x 8 inches. Lightly faded, else Very Good plus overall with a crease at one corner.

Original pressbook for the 1954 film noir, based on the 1951 novel by William P. McGivern. Howard W. Koch, director of "The Girl in the Black Stockings" (1957) here creates an unsparing view (for its time) of the violence and corruption often seen behind the badge of a police officer. Barney Nolan (Edmond O'Brien) becomes a bad cop in an otherwise cozy suburban atmosphere, then deconstructed and invariably led to a befitting death (Silver, et al). 12 pages, saddle stapled, 11 x 17 inches. Very Good plus. Faint horizontal fold crease at the center of the wrapper and pages. One corner with a short crease, and a couple of tiny closed tears, else bright. Selby US. Silver Classic Noir. Draft script for the fourth episode of the 1981 NBC mini-series, here under the working title "The Gangster Chronicles: An American Story: Chapter IV," which aired on February 21, 1981. Copy with a manuscript marker annotations of "role:- Aiello" on the title page, and the underlining of "Narrative" on the first and last page of the script. The thirteen part critically-acclaimed Emmy Award-winning mini-series was an attempt at presenting an historically accurate crime drama about the lives of Bugsy Siegel (Joe Penny), Lucky Luciano (Michael Nouri), and Meyer Lansky (Brian Benben), beginning in 1907 and spanning seven decades. The series premiered on February 12, 1981 and was aired over nine nights, ending on May 8, 1981. Later released in an edited 121-minute version on videocassette entitled "Gangster Wars." Shot on location in Capitola and Santa Cruz, California. Front wrapper integral with title page, dated October 21, 1980, with credits for screenwriter Richard Alan Simmons. 53 leaves, with last page of text numbered 237 (with the script beginning on page 194). Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
