Basierend auf seinen profunden Kenntnissen der kulturell-religiösen Eigenart der Ladakher beschreibt er romanhaft das Leben eines Westtibeters von Geburt bis zum Tod. Zudem interessant wegen der im Anhang dargestellten Toten-Riten der Ladakher . zwar romanhaft, aber bis ins Detail ethnologisch verwertbare Darstellung (Aschoff).

Sehr seltene ikonographische Arbeit des Missionars, welche den gesamten Heftinhalt umfasst. Mitten im 1.
