Illustrated with a frontispiece by Reynolds Stone. Lees-Milne is a well known author, and expert on country houses, working for the National Trust from 1936 to 1973. He was also a good friend of the Mitfords. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A couple of light spots to the fore edge.
