Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Tenth Edition. Pp.xix, (1), 636, adverts. Profusely illustrated with folding map frontis and engravings. The majority of the engravings are twoperpage, but also some full page. The table of descriptions of the engravings is somewhat inaccurate in that some engravings present are not included and quite… a number of descriptions do not correspond to the actual placing of the engravings. While a few additional are present that are not described it appears that 3 engravings are lacking and where a Mexican marriage is indicated there is an engraving of a Peruvian marriage. Occasional mispagination. Full calf covers are bumped & rubbed & front cover is loose Black mo. label with gilt title on spine is loosening. Internally occasional stains and foxing & a cluster of pages are loose. The engravings are largely good. Fair + overall.
