Jacket is tanned to some extent and chipped at the edges, approx. 1cm square missing from front top corner. Cover is still bright red and with only minor bumping to the ends of the spine, the binding is square and firm. Endpapers are lightly tanned, owner's name written in biro on front free endpaper but otherwise the book is unmarked. Some foxing on front edge. Two fold out maps, the first is ripped but still attached. Pages are in the condition to be expected in a book of this age.

Cover is bright red with black embossed lettering and map on the front and black embossed title on the spine. Binding is square and firm. Two-colour maps (Glasgow city and Glasgow and the Clyde) are intact. There is some tanning to the endpapers and the edges, the pages are clean and unmarked, not tanned beyond the extent to be expected in a book of this age.
