Soft cover. Condition: New. x, 310 pages ; 22 cm. Summary:Hegel's India presents all of Hegel's writings on and about India. If Indian art, religion, and philosophy, are so grossly inadequate, what explains his life-long fascination in this unparalleled way? This reinterpretation of Hegel argues that Indian thought haunted Hegel, representing a sort of nemesis to his own philosophy.

Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Book has light foxing underneath both flaps of the dust jacket. There is a stamp inside the front cover (upside down) and on the rfep (also upside down) that says "With Best Compliments from Oxford University Press, India." The dust jacket is fine except for a 3' by 1' water stain at the base of the spine that goes partway across the back of the jacket. It's almost impossible to see from the outside. I've only seen one other hardcover copy of this book so it's quite rare.
