Lois has signed her name below her photograph on the frontispiece with a date in ink. She has also written a short note on the title page to Richard and Shirley. Sir Richard Posnett was a former Governor of Bermuda and Commander-in-Chief. This copy was given by another couple to the former Governor after asking Lois to write in it. They have a short presentation inscription to the front endpaper. It was part of Sir Richard Posnett's personal library. A light bump to the tail of the spine. Apart from the inscriptions - a super, clean, tight copy. Light shelf wear to the wrapper with light rubbing to several corners of the wrapper. A signed copy of a scarce book with a unique provenance.

Condition: Very good. - Octavo, 9 inches high by 6 inches wide. Hardcover, bound in red cloth titled in gilt on the spine, laid into a pictorial dust wrapper featuring a portrait of Sir Richards. The head and tail of the spine are very lightly bumped. xvi & 375 pages, illustrated with frontispiece and a 28 pages of photographs. An errata slip is laid in. There is a minor stain to the title page, not affecting the text nor signatures. There are some minor indentations to the bottom edge of the book. Very good. First edition, SIGNED BY SIR EDWARD TRENTON RICHARDS and by the author J. RANDOLF WILLIAMS.Sir Edward Trenton "ET" Richards (1908Â 1991) was the first Black Bermudian to head the government of Bermuda and the first Premier of Bermuda.
