Condition: VERY GOOD. First printing. An account of the many years Pyle spent on the Rockefeller estate - Kykuit - at Pocantico Hills in New York, from his boyhood hunting and fishing on the grounds to his time working for the family. The relative openness of the estate during the early years changed after the Lindbergh baby was kidnapped and this book describes their decision to import bullmastiffs from England as guard dogs and his involvement in breeding them. Illustrated with photographs. Index. Map endpapers. 240 pp. Very good in a good only dust jacket with chipping and edgewear, especially at the ends of the spine, previous owner's name on dj flap.
