First edition commemorative booklet, staple-bound, is in G+ condition, having some tearing and wear to spine; former seller's penciled price (partially erased) on top right front cover; some faint staining to back cover, and possibly related faint dampstaining to interior pages; overall some light surface wear to covers; front cover slightly stressed away from rest of interior (when opened); moderate handling wear. This commemorative booklet of the 43rd Annual Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California, is illustrated (color cover by D. W. Finley), and with interior b&w photographs of various floats and parades, as well as sports figures, homes, buildings, and landscapes; also some ads (mostly b&w, some in color). Southern California. First edition of this lavishly illustrated souvenir program for the 1934 Tournament of Roses parade, events, and the Rose Bowl which featured Columbia winning over Stanford by a score of 7-0 in a sloppy mud bowl of a game.

Brown, colour photo illustrations back cover & versos of covers (slight shelfwear, rubbing), still VG copy. First edition of this lavishly illustrated souvenir program for the 1919 Tournament of Roses parade, events, celebrating the end of World War I. Sadly, this was probably the precipitating events which triggered the massive outbreaks of the 1918-1919 flu pandemic through Los Angeles, Pasadena, and surrounding cities, resulting in forcing school closures, bans on public gatherings, and 1000's of cases and deaths. In addition, there is also featured a land promotion section for the latter half of the brochure, touting the notable citizens, businesses, hotels, and stylish homes & gardens in Pasadena and Southern California.
