The Book Is Bound Within Boards With Marbled Paper Over One Quarter Brown Cloth. Five Gilt Bordered Panels On The Spine With Gilt Lettering Within Brown Fields In Two Of Them. The Spine Is Slightly Darkened And Has A Tiny Tear In The First Panel. There Is A Tiny Scuff On The Front At The Cloth And Paper Border. The Slip Case Has Light Soiling And Some Sunning To One Side.

Eugene Karlin (illustrator). First printing, 1979. As new & unread with tight-unopened binding. Genuine leather, accented in 22 kt gold with hubbed spine, gilded edges, ribbon marker, silk moire endpapers and printed on archival paper. Illustrated. See photos.

Hard cover. Condition: Very good. No jacket. Copy 157 of 1500, limited release. Signed by the illustrator on colophon page. Slip-case is rubbed on front, and with small tears on spine label, but text is legible. Volume wrapped in wax paper, with closed tear at top of spine. Cover is tanned along spine, but text is clear and legible. Binding is tight. Inside is clean and unmarked.

Goatskin vellum with brown calf spine label, over brown boards, front cover with a gilt vignette. Housed in publisher's matching brown cardboard slipcase with gold paper spine label. Illustrated with 20 plates of line drawings. Edition limited to 1500 numbered copies (this is #1363), printed at the Press of A. Colish, and signed on the limitation leaf by Eugne Karlin. Horizontal scratch on back cover of slipcase, otherwise a near fine copy.
