SOFTCOVER. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. With an intricate half page ink sketch 'Crow looking at a Cambodian skull', inscribed and signed by John Olsen (as John) below the brief list of contents (no other marks or inscriptions). The book was published to accompany an exhibition with the same title at the Art Gallery of Western A…ustralia, Perth in 1984. Large 4to. in colour printed stiff glossy card covers, 80pp on thick and stiff art paper, colour plates, etc. Olsen often drew small quickly done and vaguely humourous ink doodles in books he inscribed for friends and associates, but we have never seen one which is as much a stand-alone artwork, and never with such a dark theme .
