Illustrated paper wraps, some darkening at edges, crease to one punch out, 1" tear to one page, all pieces present and intact. Each page printed one side only in color with punch-out figures that stand up to make a 3-dimensional scene. The text is taken from Beatrix Potter's classic, and most well-known tale and illustrated with fun and brightly colored stand-up pages. Size: Folio.

Vorderdeckel mit kleinen Knickspuren, Einrissen und Farbausbesserungen. Innen nur kleinere Randbeschädigungen an den Ausstanz-Figuren. Insgesamt ungewöhnlich gut erhaltenes Exemplar. This is the Stand-Up-Edition with 6 color pages of die-cut figures that allow the reader to lift and fold back the standards to make 6 pop-up scenes. There are 2 full pages of text plus captions on pop-up pages.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Sage, Sidney (illustrator). 1st Edition. Small folio. Bound in colour pictorial card, staple-bound. Six pages of die-cut figures in colour plus story on the inner pages of the front and rear wrappers and with text captions on the punch-out pages. Covers are a little dusty, lower front corner creased, card along hinge rubbed, else a fine, fresh copy with all the punch-out pages intact and "un-punched". Scarce thus. Size 32 x 26cm (12 ½ by 10 ½ inches).
