Title page undated, The National Library of Scotland give a date of circa 1884 on this New and enlarged edition of this Collection of one hundred and ninety Scottish songs. Book is attractively bound in wood and leather Mauchline binding, with various Scottish scenes on both boards, page edges gilded all-round, book is a larger format measuring 10.5 inches tall approx. (26cm approx.) The binding has some wear with a darkened area to the top of the spine, splits to the leather along upper joint at both spine ends, some rubbed spots to the covers, internally lacks the blank front endpaper, book opens onto the title page, a short tear with no loss to base of first song page (see pictures) some creasing to a few page edges, noticeable foxing to a number of pages, else contents in good general condition.
