The covers are worn and soiled as are the end pages. On the front paste down is the previous owner's name (Harvey Slatin) is written in pen. There is also sticker residue from a redbook plate or coat of arms, with some red staining opposite it on the front free end page. The contents are otherwise tight and clean. ; Black and white in-text drawings, charts; 12mo 7" X 5"; ix, 73 +[5] p. pages; This book contains extended versions of lectures delivered by Haas to the Physico-Chemical Society of Vienna in 1929. Association copy- This copy was owned by Harvey L. Slatin, a physicist who worked for the Manhattan Project as a member of the Special Engineer Detachment on the isolation of plutonium. His signature is written in ink on the front paste-down.
