Contact seller3-star sellerFirst Edition. Octavo. 408 pp. Edited by Robert Metzger. Introduction by Paul Horgan and illustrated with several black and white photographic images of Hurd. Hurd was a student of N.C. Wyeth. This book spans fifty years of Hurd's life. It also describes his travels overseas as an artist-correspondent for Life Magazine, his nume…rous murals, and his famous portraits of King Faisal and President Lyndon Johnson. A fine copy bound in mustard cloth, spine lettering white and black, in an unclipped pictorial dust jacket with fading to spine and just a bit of rubbing to rear panel. Very nice.
