While it would be hard to pinpoint. the notables that MacKaye hobnobbed with, the Colony in various years. included the likes of artists Maxfield Parrish, Frederic Remington, Everett Shinn, and Daniel Chester French. Other 'names' who spent time. there include dancer Isadora Duncan, actresses Ethel Barrymore and Marie. Dressler, even the editor Max Perkins. One of his plays produced there. included two of Woodrow Wilson's daughters, with Wilson in attendance. He. had several talented children, and was the son of the 19th century actor.
