Exploring plants from the Abele Tree to Zygopetalum. Written by Sir Joseph Paxton, an English gardener, architect, engineer and Liberal Member of Parliament. He is best known for designing the Crystal Palace, which was built in Hyde Park, London to house the Great Exhibition of 1851. Revised and corrected by Samuel Hereman, a British author and botanist who was the secretary of Sir Joseph Paxton for almost forty years. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages. Minor age toning to the extremities. Very Good. book.
