Add to basketLondon: Hardwicke and Bogue / Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1879. First edition. Dark green leatherette, front cover lettered in gold. Black end papers. Twelve original photographs, centrally mounted on white leaves, including images of Henry Irving and Ellen Terry. The spine of the book is entirely detached - it is chipped at the e…xtremities and is laid into the rear of the book; there is shelf wear to the edges, an old stain to the lower corner of the book, a pasted-in presentation card in the front, and a name penned on the title page. The photographs are in nice clean shape, with the usual wrinkling to the mounting page, caused by the original paste. So, a rough copy, but with the photos in good order. One leaf of ads at rear, followed by a 32-page publishers catalogue dated November, 1878.
