Color printed, glossy-surfaced dustjacket, with a design of two girls on front panel (shown in the scan), list of titles on the back. Surface of dustjacket shows some light crazing to glossy coating, edge tanning. Page 7-8 shows a 6", vertical tear near the gutter of book, from the fore-edge, downwards (this is repairable); non-authorial, English gift inscription in ink on the front flyleaf, dated: "Xmas 1970 [-]: hoping one day you will get to discuss these fables with the boys and girls for whom they were written [-]". Book, overall in fine condition (excepting the tear at p. 7, mentioned above). Very scarce title; only a very few copies of the original Italian edition are available in the U.S.A.
