Images 2 & 3. This copy with 10 line manuscript inscription by Charles de Gaulle (image 1), in French, then aged 56, signed and dated "le 9 Decembre 1944" by him. This translates as: "On the Russian earth, martyred like the French earth and by the same enemy, the Normandie Regiment my companion, supports, demonstrates, enhances, the glory of France ! Moscow. the 9th December 1944. C. de Gaulle". He did meet Stalin in Dec 1944. We offer this as a very significant Charles de Gaulle Association Item, and at an important time in French political history. Artwork images signed "Bechamel". See bottom right, Image 5 attached.
