Green Cloth. Condition: Very Good Minus. No Jacket. First Edition. A bound volume of the scarce numismatic magazine published by Nunn and Christie. Sadly issue number one is missing, though the general title page and index to volume one is present. The other 11 issues of the first year 1886 are present as are all twelve issues of volume 2 (1887). Bound in contemporary dark green pebbled cloth - the name 'numismatic magazine' placed in black ink to the spine. Contemporary printed bookplate of an Edward Kensington is pasted to the front paste-down. A crease to the title page of volume 5 number 1. Detailed ink manuscript notes to the rear endpaper and pencil notes to the other side and to the rear paste-down. The ink number B27 to the upper corner of the front paste-down. Some rubbing with light loss of the cloth to both the head and tail of the spine and slight loss to the board corners. Two ink stains to the lower fore-edge - the bigger one affecting the extreme inner corner of a number of page margins - but not all that noticeable - I was looking at the book for some time before I noticed it. A very good minus copy of a publication that appears as scarce as hens teeth?
